Turkey part 2

A few days after arrival in Istanbul, I did lots of shopping. The clothes there are really cheap and above all have my size la. Bukan senang nak dpt my size specially in Japan ni. Nice maternity clothes pun byk yg murah2. So angkut la byk2. Sorry la no picture. Mase shopping mmg tinggal camera kat rumah. Hubby bz taking care of Harris and me bz shopping (-_-)V

Then b4 hubby had his Lasik surgery we went for sightseeing around town. Sbb pk2 nnt lepas ni xleh gi mana dah. Xkan nak tinggal dia sorang2 kat rumah. So we all decided to go the famous Blue Mosque and Ayasofya. We took the tram there. Thank good ada aircond. Panas giler hari tu. FYI, panas camne pun kat Istanbul tu derang takkan pasang aircond dlm taxi. Seriously cannot stand the air polution and of course the heat. Mesti bawak kipas tgn kemana saje. No wonder my sis soh beli kipas tgn Jepun kat 100 yen shop byk2 aritu.

Sampai je kat Blue Mosque. Tourist xbleh msk sbb its praying time. Tp as Muslim bleh jek msk kata nak sembahyang. Lame jugak tunggu pak imam nak dtg. Lame sgt tunggu almost sejam gak la. Sbb tok imam xsampai2. Kami pun decide to go to Ayasofya.

Lame sgt menunggu, sampai tertido pakcik ni.

Nak msk Ayasofya kena bayar 20ytl. Lebih kurang RM40+-. Kalu bab bayar2 tempat bersejarah ni mmg tak kisah sgt mahal murah sbb bukan slalu bleh dpt chance camni. Pejam mate je la mase bayar tu. But here still murah dr kat Europe dulu.

Masuk jek dlm Ayasofya ni Harris terus terlena maybe sbb gelap dan nyaman. Ayasofya ni used to be the biggest cathedral for a 1000 years during that era. Then when Ottoman was in power he transformed it into a mosque. Then again Mustafa Kamel Atartuk ordered the place to be a museum. Tu la sbbnye tourist kena bayar nak masuk. Kalau mosque anytime bleh msk dan free jek.

Very rare!! U can never see Allah & Virgin Mary + Jesus in one place

Since the place had been transformed so many times. The muslims during Ottoman era just cover Virgin Mary and the crosses with beautiful tiles or wall paintings. The Virgin Mary above came out during restoration of the place. The center of the building where Christian people used to pray was facing Jerussalam, when it became a mosque they built the mihrab facing Mecca. Thats why the mihrab is not at the center of the building.

See, mihrab tak center sbb this place used to be a cathedral.

Naik je tingkat atas konon nak tgk beautiful golden tiles of Jesus ke Emperor and Empress apetah. Camera xdak battery. So golden tiles tu just remain in our memory je la. Then Harris pun bgn dan nak kuar dr stroller. We all pun decide to leave the place and headed to Eye Clinic for hubby Lasik check up b4 operation the next day.

Work Done-Turkey part 1

WORK DONE! Satu paper dah siap. All together ada 3 chapter dah dlm dissertation aku tu but still not so perfect la. Tak cukup sana sini. Even my literature review pun x complete lg. But submit jek sbb dah tak tahan tgk depan mata.

So now, keje pun dah habis. I would like to update on my trip to Turkey last month. Been wanted to do this for a long time tp tak buat-buat jugak.

My trip to Turkey was from 28 June to 14 July. Almost 3 weeks like that. First2 rase bersalah jugak amik cuti in the middle of semester. PhD student xde class so dtg xdtg tu xde sape tau. Tp nak dijadikan cerita during our trip tu, APU got 3 people infected with H1N1. So APU was closed for a week. Supervisor pun xperasan aku xde kat Jepun mase tu. So kire lucky dan kurang la rase bersalah nye.

B4 we start our journey, Harris selsema sket so bawak la dia pegi jumpe doc then terus mintak skali ubat selsema yg kuat sket biar Harris bleh tido slm flight. Sbb seblum ni susah sgt dia nak tido dlm flight. Sampai demam2 aritu.

We took Korean Airline for this trip because of its connection. Fukuoka - Seoul is about 45 min to 1 hour. Then transit was about 2 hours like that. Sempat la mkn kimchi kat food court. From Seoul to Istanbul was about 10 hours. Harris tido for the first few hours. Dlm 2, 3 jam jugak la. Pastu dia pegi round satu flight. Tgk kat luar tingkap, the landscape was full of icy mountains around Mongol or central Asia. Sejuk je tgk kat luar.

Dah tak tahan nak ikut Harris tawaf satu flight, I decided to give him another portion of medicine. Lagipun dah mmg timing dia mkn ubat pun every 4 hours like that. Lepas mkn jek ubat Harris terus tido. Terkejut gak terus tido lena mcm tu. Dah nak sampai baru la Harris bgn.

This is the first time Harris tido lame giler dlm flight, tu pun ada makcik Jepun selang 2 dr kiteorg mengadu Harris bising. Dia ckp kat stewardess dan minah ni pun ckp kat hubby la. Nasib baik stewardess ni pandai ckp kat laki aku. Kalu dia ckp kat aku, aku dah maki blk dah soh makcik Jepun tu beli ticket 1st class ke or get herself a private jet. Anak aku punye la baik camtu pun ko kata bising!? Anak aku bayar ticket full jugak mcm ko tau! Cit!!

Mase jln2 dlm flight, baru la tau kenape makcik tu bengang. Depan dia pun ada 2 baby bising sket2. Padan muke ko!!! hahaha Yg menjaga anak lg susah tau drpd ko yg xmenjaga! Aku emo sgt mase tu. Dah lah mengandung, mknan muslim meal dlm flight xsedap, xcukup tido, nak muntah sume ada. Nasib baik xmeletup jek mase tu.

Sampai2 je Turkey my sis jemput kat airport then terus gi rumah dia. Kami anak beranak sume kena jetlag. The next day mmg stay kat rumah jek xgi mana sgt. Ptg gi shopping kejap jek. Harris pagi tu bgn kol 4 pagi dgn excited nye berlari lari dlm apartment. Sampai org kat bawah marah. Kesian org bawah.
