Hari Raya Haji in Beppu 2009

Kalau tahun lepas Raya Haji di Kelantan sambil buat aqiqah Harris. This year kami beraya di Beppu la plak since raya puasa ari tu dah celebrate kat Msia.

This year the praying time was a little bit early. Slalu start dlm kol 8 camtu but this year it started at 7:30 SHARP!! We arrived around 7:40 but the praying had ended dan cume sempat dengar kutbah jer but jadi la drpd takde wat apape kat rumah.

I made puding roti gula hangus for all to mkn2 at the masjid. Alhamdulillah licin habis dan xsempat amik gambar pun. Lepas mkn2 we went to Tanoura Beach for a family photo session. Since dah pakai baju cantik, baik pi amik gambar.

Lepas berfoto, we went home and I cooked masak lodeh, kerutuk ayam and nasi beriani for a mini mkn2 at my house. The previous nite I cooked kuah kacang + nasi impit and kerutuk daging. I had to do something on hari raya kalu idak xde feeling raya langsung. Org lain xde dengar pun nak wat open hse so baik la I open my house n ajak org dtg. At least bleh borak2 sambil mkn2 ape yg ada.

Alhamdulillah, cukup sume mknan sbb xde la buat byk sgt pun. What makes everything nicer, my visitors sempat plak tlg vaccum kan rumah n basuh kan pinggan b4 blk. I used disposable plates n cups to make it easier for me (well actually hubby sbb dia mmg tukang basuh pinggan in the hse) to clean up afterward. We all sgt la berterima kasih for the extra help :D Kalau mcm ni slalu, I akan slalu buat mkn2 mcm ni lg :-)

Then later on Sunday, the Malaysian in Beppu (MEBI) organized a jamuan raya. I made nasi tomato, rendang daging and jelly mangga. This time mkanan sgt best2 blaka. Ibu2 dah makin lame, makin sedap memasak. Not that dulu xsedap. Sedap jugak but this time tah kenape rase sume best sgt2 hehehe

Looking Back on Our Raya

How was your Raya? Best ke tak best? For me, semestinya BEST!! :D

Our theme color for this year is blue again. If I am not mistaken last year pun biru jugak. Ni hubby nye idea so that he dont have to buy a new baju melayu. For me, mesti kena ada baju baru walaupun warna yg same.

Tgk tu betape biru nye kami di pagi raya. Nasib baik cushion xwarna biru jugak.

First time raya di Kltn mmg best. Maklumla family ramai, meriah jugak la. Family hubby buat adat bg duit raya malam kat rumah atok nye. So time tu la best skali utk budak2. Panjang betul barisan nye. As for me, this is my first time bagi duit raya camni. Maklumla sblm ni xpernah raya kat Msia as a person with income ;P

Tp satu jek yg tak best raya kat kltn ni. I DIDN'T GET TO EAT ANY RENDANG!! Baru tau yg org kltn ni tak mkn rendang. Derang byk mkn kuzi, satay etc. Kuah masak lodeh pun takde. 2 hari lepas baru 1st time pekena masak lodeh utk raya thn ni mase jamuan raya kat Beppu. Serious kat kltn ni mmg makanan derang lain sket. Xde yg pedas2. For me tak kick la kalu xde yg pedas2 tu... Tp walaupun makanan lain but still bleh naik 3 kg this holiday in Msia. I gained 1 kg every week!! Terkejut tgk nombor kat penimbang.

One more thing yg tak best sket tahun ni. Kami xde gambar raya bertiga! Harris moody sket hari tu. Even nak suruh pakai baju melayu pun xnak. Pagi2 lg dah berperang nak pakai baju melayu. Hopefully raya haji nnt sempat amik gambar bertiga.

Its September Already la!!!

Cepatnye dah bulan 9. So that mean 12 more days to go b4 going home!

YES! This year we are coming home for Hari Raya. Howa long was it for me not celebrating Raya in Msia? More than 12 years I guess. I stop counting already...

This is also our first time celebrating Raya as a family and we are celebrating it in Kelantan where the celebration is much more merrier than in KL where my family is. Celebrating Raya in KL has always been boring for me. Plus my family members pun xramai.

At hubby village, there are so many ppl! Bayangkan la if his father has 10 siblings then tambah wife or husband then children lg. I luv that kind of environment. Mcm kenduri jek everytime they meet up. Something I shall never experience in KL. Boring la jadi org KL nih. Thank god I married a Kelantanese. At least now I have a kampung :)

Just a little update on Harris:

He understands most of what we are talking about both Japanese and Malay and sometimes English too. We kinda campo adok sentences most of the time. I know its not good but we just cannot help ourself la. But we kinda try to speak Japanese more with him so that he can communicate more with his sensei at the nursery.

His fav songs are "Kaeru no uta" (Frog Song) and "Zou san" (elephant song). He pronounces it "Dou tan" though. Sgt cute ok!

And some more update on my pregnancy:

I am currently missing sleeping on my back. I sleep on my right side most of the time and now my right shoulder is killing me. I just dont feel comfortable sleeping on my left side. I just dont know why though...

This Friday must go for a maternity massage. Dpt massage muke dan tgn pun oklah. I wish I have a massage chair!
